Office of US Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opens in Baku – UPDATED

The opening ceremony of the Baku office of the American Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been held.
According to Report, the event was attended by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Institutions of Azerbaijan, David Bednar, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Jack Gerard, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy and First Counselor of the Europe Central Area Office, Miles Hansen, President and Board Director for the Stirling Foundation, and Paul Picard, a member of the Europe Central and Eurasian Quorum of the Seventy.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was officially registered in Azerbaijan in 2024.
The office of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will open in Baku, as announced at President Ilham Aliyev's meeting with the Church's delegation that arrived from the United States.
According to Report, the delegates expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the official registration of the US Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by the Azerbaijani government, saying that they would participate in the opening of the Baku office of this church.
