Azerbaijani, Iranian FMs hold phone conversation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, held a telephone conversation, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministers exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues, as well as the situation in the region during the post-conflict period.

The issues arising from the last meeting held between the co-chairs of the Azerbaijan-Iran State Commission on economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation were discussed, and the contribution of high-level meetings and inter-institutional contacts in recent months to the development of relations was highly appreciated.

In particular, the Iranian Foreign Minister recalled with pleasure his meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev within the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan in order to participate in the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau held in Azerbaijan at the beginning of July.

The telephone conversation stated that it is important to implement the bilateral and regional agreements reached in the field of economy and transport.
