Azerbaijan highlights counter‑terrorism efforts at UN

Azerbaijan reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the global fight against terrorism, condemning it in all forms and manifestations, Report informs, citing the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations.
At the UN General Assembly plenary meeting on the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, held on July 1, 2026, at UN Headquarters, Ambassador Tofig Musayev, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN, reaffirmed Azerbaijan's unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and its unwavering commitment to the global fight against terrorism.
He stressed that strict compliance by all states with their international counter-terrorism obligations remains essential to ensuring that their territories are not used for terrorist, separatist or other related activities.
Musayev also underscored the importance of holding perpetrators of terrorist acts accountable, as well as maintaining continued solidarity with and support for victims and survivors of terrorism and affected States.
