Azerbaijan, Belarus sign several cooperation documents in Minsk

A number of documents covering various areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus were signed in Minsk as part of the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Report's correspondent dispatched to Minsk informs.
First, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov and Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Petkevich signed the protocol of the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Then, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in statistics was signed between the National Statistical Committee of Belarus and the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan. The document was signed by Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus Inna Medvedeva and Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan Azer Mursagulov.
As part of the event, a cooperation program in physical culture and sports for 2026-2030 was also signed between the Ministry of Sports of Belarus and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan. The document was approved by Belarusian Sports Minister Sergey Kovalchuk and Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.
To expand cooperation in healthcare, a cooperation program, or "road map," for 2026-2027 was also signed between the health ministries of Azerbaijan and Belarus. The document was signed by Belarusian Deputy Health Minister Aleksandr Starovoitov and Azerbaijani Deputy Health Minister Nadir Zeynalov.
In addition, a contract was signed between the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association and Belarus' POZHSNAB LLC for the assembly of 21 fire engines. The contract was signed by Acting Director of POZHSNAB LLC Sergey Zakharevich and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association Khanlar Fatiyev.
The documents were signed as part of the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and are aimed at further expanding cooperation between the two countries in economic, social and humanitarian areas.
