Mesut Özil in talks with DC United

Arsenal's German footballer of Turkish origin, Mesut Özil, is in discussions with American MLS club D. C. United, Report states, citing Football. London.

The American Club offers attractive financial terms to the 32-year-old midfielder. In addition to the high salary, D. C. United is ready to help the player develop his M10 brand.

Özil has not been included in Arsenal's squad for the first half of the English Premier League season. In recent weeks, the Turkish footballer has been training separately from the main team.

His contract with Arsenal expires in June. The midfielder's weekly salary is almost 395,000 euros.

Özil has been with Arsenal since 2013. He has not played for the Gunners since March 2020.
