Azerbaijan will expand its combine harvester fleet to reduce grain losses and accelerate harvesting, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Seymur Safarli stated, according to Report's correspondent in Quba.
Speaking at a consultation within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing in Azerbaijan for 2026–2030, the deputy minister noted that 571 new combines will be purchased for 22 target districts.
"The new machinery will allow crops to be harvested at the optimal time, reduce losses, and lower farmers' production costs. Improving technical supply is one of the main directions for increasing productivity," Safarli emphasized.
