Lionel Messi tops MLS scoring charts

Renowned striker Lionel Messi of Inter Miami has taken the lead in the MLS Golden Boot race.
According to Report, the 38-year-old Argentine has scored a total of 22 goals so far this season.
In the match against D.C. United - which ended in a 3–2 victory for "The Herons" - Messi netted a brace and also provided an assist.
English forward Sam Surridge of Nashville SC is currently second in the scoring race with 21 goals, while Gabonese striker Denis Bouanga of Los Angeles FC sits third with 19 goals.
As of Matchday 28, Inter Miami is fifth in the league standings with 52 points.
