Azerbaijan is pursuing a consistent and targeted policy to interconnect markets, diversify the economy, and strengthen resilience through cooperation, Serhat Köksal, President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), said at a business forum in Baku during the 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the BSTDB.
Report quotes him as saying the work being done to reduce dependence on hydrocarbon resources, develop the non-oil sector, promote entrepreneurship, and strengthen regional ties is creating new opportunities for investment and cooperation.
Köksal emphasized that the bank's cooperation with Azerbaijan has been developing for over 20 years based on the principles of partnership, shared goals, and the transformative role of private sector development.
He noted that during this period, the BSTDB has made a significant contribution to creating new jobs, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting sustainable economic growth by supporting numerous projects covering financial institutions, manufacturing, trade, energy, and other sectors.
He added that the event is a favorable platform for establishing new partnerships, assessing investment opportunities and expanding business ties.
