Consumer spending in Azerbaijan hit 1.5B manats in January–August 2025

From January to August 2025, the total value of goods sold and services rendered to meet consumer demand in Azerbaijan amounted to 51.5 billion manats ($30.29 billion), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This marks a 5% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, 78.6% of this amount came from retail trade turnover, 18% from paid services provided to the population, and 3.4% from public catering turnover.
The value of goods and services provided by non-state sector entities rose by 4.9% year-on-year, reaching 49.4 billion manats ($29.1 billion). Of this, 43.9% was generated through individual entrepreneurship.
On average, each consumer spent 628.4 manats ($369.6) per month - 56.8 manats ($33.4) more in nominal terms than during the same period last year.
