China will soon start selling some non-ferrous metals from government reserves, Report informs, referring to Bloomberg.
The National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration will soon release state stockpiles of metals, including copper, aluminum, and zinc. The metals will be sold in batches to fabricators and manufacturers, the agency said, without specifying the volumes to be released.
In March, it was reported that the Chinese authorities are considering the possibility of selling about 0.5 million tons of aluminum from state reserves to limit the rise in prices for this raw material.
The last time the country sold aluminum and zinc from its reserves was in 2010. Before that, China sold aluminum from its state reserves in 2005.
