Azerbaijan joins int'l organization FIRST

The Financial Sector Computer Emergency Response Team (FinCERT) has become a member of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), Report informs.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), FinCERT, created by the regulator to coordinate responses to cybersecurity incidents in the financial sector, has successfully completed the requirements for FIRST membership.

FIRST is an international organization uniting cybersecurity incident response teams from the government, commercial, and academic sectors. FinCERT's membership expands opportunities for international cooperation in financial sector cybersecurity, provides access to best practices, strengthens rapid information exchange, and promotes the development of capacity to combat cybersecurity incidents.
