Azerbaijan invites all countries to use mirror statistics

Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee suggested that all countries apply mirror customs statistics, Chairman of the committee Safar Mehdiyev said at an event dedicated to the results of 2020 and the future objectives, Report informs.

He said that negotiations are underway with Georgia and Kazakhstan.

"Uzbekistan is interested in using mirror statistics with Azerbaijan. We also know the reasons why many countries don’t implement mirror statistics," he noted.

Mehdiyev added that political will is required to conduct mirror statistics.

"We would like to coordinate our mirror statistics with China and the UAE. Unlike others, we are ready to apply it with all countries," he said.
