Azerbaijan discusses strengthening its strategic partnership with AIIB

Azerbaijan and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) have engaged in discussions on strengthening their strategic partnership and the priorities of the investment program for Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan's Economy Minister, wrote on X, Report informs.

"During the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, we met with Sherard Cowper-Coles, Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

The discussion focused on strengthening the Azerbaijan–AIIB strategic partnership and the priorities of the investment program for our country. Opportunities for implementing joint infrastructure projects aimed at further reinforcing Azerbaijan's role as a regional transit hub were also reviewed," reads the post.
