Azerbaijan and Tajikistan sign MoU on cooperation in field of statistics

A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Statistics has been signed between the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan and the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan.

Report informs that the memorandum was signed by Tahir Budagov, the chairman of the State Statistics Committee, and Jamshed Nurmakhmadzoda, the director of the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan.

The memorandum envisions promoting and developing cooperation in the field of statistics, expanding the exchange of internationally comparable statistical data reflecting the socio-economic situation of both countries, and strengthening mutual relations between the statistical institutions of the two countries.

The signing took place today at the State Statistics Committee during a meeting with participants of the 3rd International Statistical Forum on "Prospects for the Development of Statistics: The Role of International Projects."
