Azerbaijan Banks Association urges bank customers to beware of fraudsters

In Azerbaijan, fraudsters call bank customers from numbers similar to the phone numbers of the call centers of banks - usually three-digit - offering loan products to them, the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) said, Report informs.

As reported, fraudsters acting on behalf of the bank obtain various information about the customer under the pretext of offering a new loan product and using it for their benefit.

“People who have bank accounts and bank cards should be alert and cautious against such fraud cases and should not provide personal and payment card information to third parties under any circumstances.

If you encounter this type of fraud, please contact your bank immediately,” ABA said.
