Solar panel efficiency in Azerbaijan reaches nearly 25%

The current efficiency rate of solar panels in Azerbaijan is approximately 25%, Emin Mammadov, Founder and CEO of Provitaz LLC, stated during the event titled "Green Energy Week 2025: Azerbaijan and Central Asia" held in Baku, Report informs.

According to Mammadov, solar panels play a crucial role in the development of the renewable energy sector: "It's essential that they are efficient. Having access to the latest upgraded panels is important. Sometimes our clients don't understand the differences between panel types, so we must explain those distinctions and demonstrate their varying levels of efficiency. Today, solar panel efficiency is approaching 25%. Back in 2013, the maximum was around 15%."

The CEO also noted significant changes in inverter technology over the past decade: "Now, integration of inverters with the grid is one of the key issues. It's all about how they connect to the network."
