Russia eyes investing in oil & gas in Afghanistan

Russian entrepreneurs are planning to invest in the oil and gas sector in Afghanistan, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
He noted that Russian investors met with Taliban “Deputy Prime Minister” Abdul Salam Hanafi in Kabul.
The parties discussed the issue of creating factories for processing oil, natural gas, as well as facilities for the production of CNG and LNG. Mujahid said that the creation of a cement production company was also discussed.
He noted that favorable conditions will be created for Russian investors.
After the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, some countries announced their intention to invest in various sectors of the economy of this country.
