Azerbaijani envoy meets with Morocco's National Library director

A meeting has been held between Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Morocco Nazim Samadov and the Director of the National Library of Morocco, Samira El Malizi, Report informs, citing the embassy.

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco. They emphasized the importance of continued mutual participation in cultural events held in both countries.

In this context, Samira El Malizi expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for the invitation to attend the 11th Baku International Book Fair, which will be held from October 1–7, 2025. She noted that the visit will contribute to deepening ties and cooperation between the cultural institutions of both nations.

El Malizi said she looked forward to visiting Azerbaijan and announced that books and manuscripts reflecting Morocco's rich culture would be presented to the National Library of Azerbaijan. She also expressed hope that an Azerbaijani delegation would take part in the next Rabat International Book Fair.

Additionally, she noted the library's readiness to expand its collection of Azerbaijani-related literature and encouraged the donation of new books to the National Library of Morocco.
