Deputy minister: Azerbaijan is reliable partner in both traditional and green energy

Azerbaijan is a reliable energy partner in both traditional resources and the field of renewable energy, said Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli during Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW2025), Report informs.

He noted that energy policy continues to play a key role in Azerbaijan's development and its international standing:

"Large-scale solar and wind projects, along with the creation of green energy zones in Karabakh and East Zangazur, position Azerbaijan as an active participant in the global energy transition."

Bashirli emphasized that the timing of Baku Climate Action Week is especially critical:

"Climate change is no longer a distant threat-it's already happening. Rising global temperatures require decisive action. We must address this challenge together."
