AZN 80M might be saved from use of CNG in Azerbaijan

In 2015-2019, SOCAR’s CNG production and sales made up 62.6 million cubic meters, Report informs, referring to SOCAR Petroleum CJSC.

Thus, the CNG purchasers saved AZN 22 million.

“Azerbaijan has been extending the use of innovative CNG since 2015. Currently, the CNG is the cleanest, most effective, and safest fuel. The use of CNG reduces the emission of greenhouse and toxic gas in transport. The volume of greenhouse gas into the atmosphere has fallen 30,000 tonnes. It means the consumption of 500,000 trees. If 10% of gasoline is replaced with the CHG, the emission of greenhouse gases will be reduced by 100,000 tonnes in a year. Purchasers may save AZN 80 million,” the statement said.
