Azerbaijan supplies 50 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe via TANAP

The total volume of Azerbaijani gas transported to Europe through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) has reached 50 billion cubic meters, Report informs, citing SOCAR Türkiye, the Turkish subsidiary of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

This milestone marks a historic phase for the energy corridor from Azerbaijan to Europe: "The amount of natural gas supplied to Europe via TANAP has hit 50 billion cubic meters."

Azerbaijani natural gas produced from the Shah Deniz field is transported to Türkiye. Gas volumes reach the Turkish market through the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and TANAP. The first gas entered Türkiye via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline in 2007, while commercial gas supplies through TANAP began on June 30, 2018.
