Bank deposits of Azerbaijani population rise by nearly 11%

As of August 1, 2025, the deposit portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to just over 41.776 billion manats ($24.574 billion), Report informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA, this figure is 2.75% less month-on-month, 3.7% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 13% more year-on-year (YoY).
Some 55.6% of the deposit portfolio, or more than 23.244 billion manats ($13.673 billion), fell to non-financial organizations, marking a 13% YoY increase.
During the year, household deposits surged by 10.7%, exceeding 15.456 billion manats (just over $9.09 billion), while deposits of financial institutions grew by 26% to just under 3.076 billion manats (nearly $1.81 billion).
In the specified period, more than 22.424 billion manats ($13.19 billion; a 4.5% increase YoY) of total deposits were short-term, while over 19.351 billion manats (approximately $11.383 billion; a 24.75% surge YoY) were long-term.
