Jabbarov: Trump’s warm welcome reflects recognition of President Aliyev’s strong leadership

US President Donald Trump’s warm reception of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during his visit to Washington reflects the recognition of Aliyev as a major political leader, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at a special Cabinet meeting dedicated to the president’s US visit, Report informs.

“President Trump calling the Azerbaijani people a ‘mighty nation’ and symbolically handing over the keys to the White House signals the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic level,” Jabbarov said.

He added that Azerbaijan had spent 30 years seeking to restore its territorial integrity through peaceful negotiations, including talks mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group, which yielded no results.

“Thanks to the President’s foresighted policies, Azerbaijan’s political and economic power has grown. Under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief, our army ultimately liberated our occupied lands,” Jabbarov emphasized.
