Lavrov: SCO meeting participants defend interests of their countries

Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov assessed the main outcome of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and SCO+ summits held in Tianjin, China, as the readiness of the meeting participants to defend their national interests, Report informs.
Russian Foreign Minister made the remark while answering questions from VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
"This is the determination shown without yielding to provocations, defending their rights in full accordance with international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of the international monetary and financial trading system that the West itself once promoted. It is determination aimed at protecting the legitimate interests of the participants," Lavrov said.
