Silk carpet production at Azerkhalcha nearly doubled in 2024

Silk carpet production at Azerkhalcha OJSC increased 1.8 times in 2024 compared to 2023, with 90% of the produced carpets sold, Report informs, citing the company.

The average sales price per square meter of luxury-segment silk carpets was 3,500 manats ($2.058).

"Carpet sales rose by 26% in 2024. This growth reflects both improved production efficiency and expanded sales opportunities in the market," the company stated.

Positive results were also recorded in both production and sales during the first half of the year. Azerkhalcha noted that this confirms the effectiveness of steps taken toward its strategic goals-namely, increasing production, expanding export capacity, and strengthening financial stability.

Azerbaijani carpets are currently exported to countries including South Korea, the United States, China, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates. Azerkhalcha operates 14 workshops across different regions of Azerbaijan.
