The food and cosmetics giant Unilever, founded in 1930 by Lever Brothers of the United Kingdom and Dutch Margarine Unie of the Netherlands, came under British control.
According to Report, the company's head office has moved from Rotterdam in the Netherlands to London, England.
The reason for the end of the 90-year partnership is the conclusion of the Dutch government to re-impose a dividend tax on large companies. The decision was made by the Supreme Court of England after the shareholders of Unilever reached an agreement.
However, the company will continue to invest equally in the UK and the Netherlands, leaving 2,500 employees in the Netherlands.
