Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus up sevenfold

Azerbaijan conducted $20.788 billion in foreign trade transactions from January to May 2026, a 0.85% decrease compared to the same period last year, Report informs via the State Customs Committee.
Some $13.97 billion of foreign trade turnover came from exports, while $6.818 billion came from imports. Over the year, exports increased by 27%, while imports decreased by 31.6%.
As a result, a positive foreign trade balance of $7.152 billion was recorded, 6.9 times higher than in the same period last year.
