Minister: Azerbaijan - important strategic partner for Bulgaria

Azerbaijan is an important strategic partner for Bulgaria. I have high hopes for future cooperation with this country, Bulgarian Tourism Minister Hristo Prodanov said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria Huseyn Huseynov, Report informs.

He added that Azerbaijan is a promising tourism market for Bulgaria and Azerbaijani tourists often prefer Bulgaria for family vacations: " Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact, we must continue to work to develop the tourism industry."

During the meeting, the process of vaccinations in both countries was discussed, and views were exchanged on the resumption of Baku-Sofia-Baku flights, which were suspended due to the pandemic.
