Number of Georgia's visitors from Azerbaijan doubles

In April 2021, 5,287 people visited Georgia from Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA).
According to the document, this is 2,737 people or 1.9 times more than in the same period last year.
From January through April, Georgia received 16,601 visitors from Azerbaijan, which is 248,139 people or 93.7% less than a year earlier. During this period, most of Georgia’s visitors came from Turkey, Armenia, and Russia. Azerbaijan ranked fourth in the list.
The total number of foreigners visiting the South Caucasus country in the first four months of 2021 was 220,466, which shows an 84% decrease compared to a year earlier.
