Türkiye to establish Ministry for Disaster Prevention

Türkiye has launched efforts to establish a dedicated Ministry for Disaster Prevention.
According to Report, citing Haber Global and Dünya, the new ministry is intended to strengthen the country"s capacity to address the growing range of natural disasters.
Firefighting services currently operated by local municipalities, along with several other agencies responsible for disaster response, will be brought under the ministry"s jurisdiction.
The ministry will also be tasked with overseeing building construction to ensure full compliance with safety standards and regulations.
