Türkiye ready to offer its capabilities to NATO, Erdoğan says

Türkiye is ready to make its military capabilities available to NATO wherever they are needed, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the opening ceremony of the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government in Ankara.

Erdoğan said one of Türkiye's greatest achievements in recent years has been the rapid development of its defense industry.

"Thanks to its strong export potential, our country has become one of the world's leading nations in this field. As a country with one of NATO's largest land forces, we are determined to place our capabilities and expertise at the alliance's service wherever they are needed," he said.

The Turkish president also announced that an additional $24 billion will be allocated to various projects aimed at strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
