Russia's COVID-19 death toll exceeds 16 thousand

Russia confirmed 4 785 new coronavirus infections Wednesday, bringing the country's official number of cases to 942 106, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
According to the Operational Headquarters, Russia's death toll reached 16 099, as 110 others have died over the past day, while 755 513 have recovered so far.
Moscow lifted restrictions including compulsory travel passes on June 8, a move welcomed by residents who rushed out to enjoy the streets and parks. Many other regions lifted lockdown restrictions ahead of a July 1 national vote despite the pandemic.
However, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, has extended Russia's ban on international flights until Aug. 1 due to the coronavirus.
