Bloomberg: US seeks funds for operation against Iran

With the approval process for an additional spending package stalled in Congress, the US administration is searching for financial resources to continue military operations against Iran, Report informs, citing Bloomberg.

According to the publication, discussions are underway in Washington on how to secure funding for the operations, as agreement on the new allocation package has faced difficulties. As a result, the White House has been forced to look for alternative ways to obtain the necessary funds.

The outlet noted that US President Donald Trump has made almost no effort to persuade lawmakers to support the allocation of extra financing.

Earlier, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told the Senate that Washington's expenditures on the military operation against Iran amount to approximately $37.5 billion.
