Vladimir Putin has expressed his gratitude to Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan for visiting Russia.
According to Putin, they had not met for 1.5 years due to the pandemic but kept in touch: "Thank you for accepting the invitation and coming to Russia. The epidemic did not allow us to meet in person for a year and a half. But during this time we have always been in touch."
Vladimir Putin has been in self-isolation due to COVID-19 since September 14.
