Putin cancels visa regime for Georgian citizens from May 15

The visa regime for citizens of Georgia will cease to operate from May 15, 2023. Citizens of Georgia can enter Russia without a visa for up to 90 days, Report informs referring to the Russian media.
The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
To enter Russia, Georgian citizens will need a passport, diplomatic or service passport, as well as a sailor’s passport. For entry into Russia for the purpose of work or study for more than three months, a visa will still be required.
Those posted as staff to the Georgian Interests Section at the Swiss Embassy and their family members will need a visa for a period of three months. After accreditation, they will be able to enter Russia without visas.
