Pashinyan: Karabakh already out of Armenia’s control, Yerevan implementing decisions made elsewhere

The old world order is collapsing, and it is important not to remain under its rubble, Armenian Prime Minister and the leader of the Civil Contract party Nikol Pashinyan said at the VI Congress of the political organization, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.

The prime minister noted that after coming to power he tried to restore the foundations of statehood, but gradually realized that for three decades the country’s authorities had been destroying these pillars and separating them from the provisions noted in the declaration of independence. He said that the 44-day war and its consequences became the main and most global problem for him.

“It was important for us to involve Karabakh in the negotiation process as a negotiating party, but it turned out that this is already beyond the control of Armenia, since Armenia only quietly implements decisions made elsewhere,” Pashinyan said.

He called on his comrades-in-arms to be courageous and admit that Armenia needs a new strategy, a new vision to preserve the state and statehood in the face of a collapsing world order.
