One killed in Russian missile strike in Zhytomyr region

The Russian army carried out a missile attack on the Zviahel community in the Zhytomyr region, killing one person and leaving several others injured, the Zviahel City Council said on Facebook, Report informs, citing Ukrinform.

"As a result of another missile attack by the enemy, a residential area of the private sector of our community was struck overnight on June 9. According to preliminary information, six buildings were destroyed and dozens were damaged. Unfortunately, one person was killed. There are also injured people who are receiving all the necessary assistance," the report reads.

Community officials and emergency services are working at the scene.
