Number of CSTO peacekeepers deployed in Kazakhstan announced

Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has revealed the number of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) peacekeepers deployed in his country at an online meeting of CSTO leaders, Report informs.
“To date, in line with the decision of the Collective Security Council, 2,030 CSTO peacekeepers and 250 vehicles have been deployed in designated areas, Tokayev said.
He noted that the CSTO peacekeeping forces are responsible for protecting strategic facilities such as airports and military bases, as well as ensuring security.
