MP from Tabriz: ‘Dissenting thoughts and speech in Iran are treated with intolerance’

“Dissenting thoughts and speech in Iran are treated with intolerance,” Masoud Pezeshkian, the deputy from cities of Tabriz, Usku, and Tufargan in the Iranian Parliament, said in his statement about the recent protests, Report informs, citing GunAzTV.

According to him, those who put forward new, different ideas in universities, parliament, state offices, and other such places are accused of opposing the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei: “In general, our problem is that we do not know the rules of dialogue. State officials, unable to give a logical answer, accuse the other party of opposing the head of the country.”
