Mirzoyan: Final agreement on TRIPP to be signed in coming weeks

A framework agreement between Armenia and the US on the TRIPP (Trump Route) project will be signed within a few weeks, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said, Report informs via Armenian media.

"The framework agreement on strategic cooperation between Armenia and the US on the TRIPP project, which was initialed today, will be signed within a few weeks," he said.

Mirzoyan said the text of the document has been fully agreed at the political level, but technical procedures that must be completed in both countries remain. "These procedures will be completed within a few weeks, and we will sign the final document," the minister added.

He noted that a number of other documents, in particular the charter of the TRIPP company, also need to be signed as part of preparations.

According to Mirzoyan, various countries and companies have shown interest in the project.

"A number of countries are interested in the project in various areas, particularly in the supply of materials and rails, construction and software. We have already held preliminary discussions and exchanged views with a number of partners, but I would not like to draw any conclusions or disclose any names yet," he stressed.
