IAEA: Impressed by design of Akkuyu nuke plant

IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi, together with the head of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev, examined the model of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in the Turkish province of Mersin, Report informs referring to the Russian media.
Grossi noted the original design of the nuclear power plant.
“I’m very impressed with the design of the plant, a very original decision to make it this way, combining artistic features with functional ones. Quite interesting,” he told reporters.
Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in a video conference for the ceremony on the occasion of the delivery of nuclear fuel to the Akkuyu nuclear power plant.
