From October 16, restaurants and all entertainment centers in the Georgian capital Tbilisi and Imereti region will be open until 22:00, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at a special briefing.
According to Report's local bureau, he notes these restrictions will reduce the spread of coronavirus infection.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the number of daily COVID-19 cases in the country is expected to exceed 1,000 in the coming days: "There is no other way in the world to prevent the virus than strict restrictions."
On the last day, a record 919 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the neighboring country. Of these, 366 cases occurred in Tbilisi, 286 in Adjara, and 104 in the Imereti region.
