Garibashvili: Georgia will continue to be Azerbaijan’s friend

Georgia is a friend of Azerbaijan and will remain it in the future, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said during a meeting with Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, the Georgian bureau of Report informs.
He noted that excellent relations have developed between the two countries: “We had fruitful discussions with the president of Azerbaijan on strategic partnership and important regional projects.”
Garibashvili added that Georgia and Azerbaijan should implement more joint projects, and this depends on the capabilities of both countries.
Garibashvili also noted that Georgia supports peace and the settlement of conflicts in the region through negotiations.
