Food prices rise in Armenia

In January, annual inflation in Armenia was 4.5%, and 2.2% compared to December last year, Report mentions, referring to Novosti Armenia.
According to the Armenian Statistics Committee, in January of this year, compared to the same period in 2020, the prices of vegetable oils increased by 44.3%, sugar rose by 40.7%, eggs gained 26.4%, dairy products grew by 7.7%, fruits soared 12%.
Prices also rose on vegetables - by 9.9%, garlic - by 95.4%, mixed greens - by 53.5%, bread - by 7.9%, flour - by 12.5%, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products - by 6.8%.
