Türkiye is always ready to act as a mediator to help resolve the conflict between the United States and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at a press conference following the NATO summit in Ankara, Report's Türkiye bureau informs.
Erdoğan made the remarks while answering journalists' questions.
He said Türkiye would continue its efforts to resolve the conflict.
"We are doing whatever we can to help in this matter, and we will continue to do so. We do not want the Strait of Hormuz to become a war zone," Erdoğan said.
