Disagreements remain over several points of Iran-US memorandum

Disagreements remain over several points of a memorandum on settling the conflict between Iran and the US.

Report informs, citing Iran's Tasnim agency, which quoted an Iranian source.

According to the source, Tehran believes Washington is blocking the document in this way.

The source said disagreements remained over one or two points of a possible memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US, and the issue had not yet been resolved due to obstacles created by the US side.

It was noted that Iran had informed Pakistani mediators that if the US continued blocking the process, it would not be possible to finalize the document.

The points on which disagreements remain have not been specified. The agency's source only said Tehran had pointed to the issue of justice for the Iranian people.

The source also claimed that Tehran would not agree to Washington monitoring the passage of Iranian ships through the Strait of Hormuz after an agreement is reached.

It was noted that the text of the agreement contains no confirmation that the US would inspect or monitor Iranian vessels after the maritime blockade is lifted.
