Armenia's COVID-19 tally hits 167,231

Armenia confirmed 143 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 167,231, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 3,089 as five more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 158,335 people have recovered from the disease so far.
There are currently 5,035 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
