1,000-year-old Torah books smuggled into Turkey confiscated

During the operations in the Kiziltepe region of Turkey's Mardin province, police revealed that historical artifacts were brought to the country illegally.
Report informs, citing DHA, that five 1,000-year-old Torah gilded on various animal skins were seized.
One suspect was detained in connection with the incident. Police are investigating how the seized religious books were brought into the country.
