Zelenskyy says 4 killed, over 40 injured in Russian shelling of Ukraine

As a result of a massive night attack by Russian troops on Ukrainian territory, four people were killed and 44 were injured, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote in a Telegram channel following a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, Report informs.

"Today I spoke with Emmanuel Macron. We discussed the harsh Russian shelling at night. Unfortunately, four people were killed and more than 44 were injured in Ukraine," he noted.

According to Zelenskyy, rescuers and emergency services are still eliminating the consequences of the attack throughout the country.

"We have coordinated our diplomatic efforts, further steps and contacts with partners to ensure an appropriate response. Together with France, we are preparing new measures to strengthen our defense," the Ukrainian president added.
