Final Declaration adopted at int"l conference on missing persons in Baku

Baku hosted an international conference on "Uniting efforts and enhancing cooperation to address the issue of missing persons," as part of the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons, organized by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons, with participation from representatives of relevant institutions active in this field.
According to Report, the event began with the reading of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev"s address to the participants.
This was followed by a speech from Chief of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, and Chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev.
Naghiyev spoke about the purpose and significance of the international event, which has now been held for the third consecutive year, and expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his support in organizing the conference. He emphasized the President"s firm and principled stance on clarifying the fate of Azerbaijan"s missing citizens.
Other participants also delivered speeches on the conference theme, and panel sessions were held.
A signing ceremony took place for a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Commission and the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the conclusion of the event, a final declaration was adopted, summarizing the outcomes of the international conference held in Baku on "Uniting efforts and enhancing cooperation to address the issue of missing persons."

Report informs that the event is organized by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing Persons and Hostages.
Along with Ali Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing Persons and Hostages, the conference is attended by Kathryne Bomberger, Director General of the International Commission on Missing Persons, Giorgio Battisti, President of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law, and representatives from Georgia, Croatia, Türkiye, Moldova and other countries.
